Simona Wiig:  Multimedia Artist

Simona Wiig is a multimedia artist living and working in Orlando, Florida.

After graduating from an international boarding school in India, Simona obtained an AA in Studio Art from Valencia College. She will earn a B.F.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in sculpture and ceramics from the University of Central Florida in May 2021. Currently, her work investigates the experience of living in a liminal space as a Third Culture Kid (TCK), and the tension that lies in both an eternal and ephemeral sense of home and belonging. She is finishing an Undergraduate Thesis with the Burnett Honors College and completed a semester-long internship with Limbitless Solutions. Her work has been exhibited at the Anita S. Wooten Gallery at Valencia College, in a Women’s History Month exhibition at the UCF Library, and at CityArts in Orlando, Florida. Her work is viewable at www.simonawiig.com.
